Mr. Iberger has held CFO responsibilities for and managed Accounting, Finance, Contracts, Reimbursement, Employee Benefits and IT organizations. Partnering with the CEO, his success includes two public offerings and two successful transfers of private companies to industry competitors.
Mr. Iberger’s career includes successes in forging lasting CEO partnerships that encompass start-up enterprises to late-stage private companies through to public offerings and entity sales. Guiding healthcare ventures through early, mid and late stage periods, Mr. Iberger has deep experience in high stress environments, accelerated growth, multi-site multi-state operations and M&A activities.
Mr. Iberger recently served as the Chief Financial Officer from 2016 to April 2022 for a cancer diagnostic and genetic technology company providing liquid biopsy testing to office based oncologists and proprietary, patent pending, laboratory tests to the commercial oncology diagnostic market. The Company completed a pubic reverse merger in 2017.
Prior to serving as CFO to the genetic technology firm, Mr. Iberger was the Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to 2010 of a $100M private pulmonology/neurology diagnostic company and from 2010 to 2015 he served as the Executive Vice President of its therapy division from 2010 to 2015. The Company sold to private equity in 2012.
From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Iberger served as the Chief Financial Officer for a neurology diagnostic firm and executed a successful sale and exit for initial investors to an industry competitor in 2000.
From 1986 to 1996, Mr. Iberger served as Vice President of Finance & Administration and Controller for a cancer research and diagnostic company. Partnering with the CEO the company executed a successful initial public offering in 1990.
Mr. Iberger holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
